NOAA in Space!
Guest Speaker: Joe Mulligan, BPAA Secretary and Newsletter editor

NOAA stands for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (not the guy with the big boat). A diverse organization, one of its components is the National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service. As you can tell from its title, here’s where NOAA gets into space. We take a brief look at the history of this organization, and how it’s products and services have become essential for a wide range of users, including astronomers!

All experience levels are welcome. Star Party to follow if there are clear skies.

Tickets free for BPAA Members, $5 +tax for non-members

Please register as seating in the Planetarium is limited.

If you can't attend in person, hear the talk on Zoom: Sign up here for Zoom
