    Drop by Battle Point Observatory for an all-ages Planetarium Show! Learn what's up in the night sky and get a peek inside the historic Observatory. Shows offered today at 12:30 pm and again at 2:30 pm. 

    Open to the community, $10/adult and $5/child tickets available at the door.  $5 discount for BPAA Members!

    Planetarium is wheelchair accessible with advance notice.

    Cosmic Conversations

    Third Tuesdays at 7:00 pm

    February's Topic: Aurora


    Join in a friendly small group discussion! Cosmic Conversations work much like a book group. Topics are pre-selected by the group, and are a starting point for the conversation.

    The Aurora have been in the news recently. What are they? What causes them? Why are they Northern lights? Where do the colors from? Why do they shimmer?

    Come to Cosmic Conversations and share your questions and knowledge with your neighbors.

    These are non-mathematical discussions designed to “ignite a passion for science through the lens of astronomy." Come interested in discussing, bring your questions and meet others interested in astronomy.

      "Myths of the Pleiades"

      Featuring BPAA Artist in Residence, Deborah Milton


      Join Battle Point Observatory's Artist in Residence Deborah Milton for this always popular event!  No art experience needed.

      Inspired by a planetarium show, you will shed expectations as you learn to paint intuitively and playfully with acrylics on an 11” x 14” canvas suitable for framing. The group's camaraderie will put you at ease and you will probably be surprised, maybe even awed, by your own creative expression!

      Advance registration required, limited to 14 adults.

      Event Fee $45.78 + tax (includes supplies)

      $10 discount until February 14th for BPAA Members!
