Educator Sessions at the Planetarium

Are you an educator working on your STEAM curriculum for the 2026-2027 school year? You're invited to our special Educator Sessions this summer! Join our Programming Coordinator for a first-hand experience of all that the Battle Point Observatory has to offer. We'll tour the building, showcase the planetarium's many capabilities, and workshop ideas for how to integrate a field trip to the observatory into your lesson plans.

Venus & Jupiter Conjunction Watch Party (09 Jun 2026)

Drop by between 8:30 - 10:30 pm at Battle Point Observatory to view the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter! Volunteers will be on hand to chat about the event and what to look for in the night sky. No telescopes needed, but feel free to bring your own or binoculars if you like!

NOTE: if the skies do not cooperate, event is canceled. If you registered, we'll let you know if the event is off.

Drop by between 9:00 pm - midnight at Battle Point Observatory for a Star Party. We'll have telescopes out and astronomers on hand. Bring your own telescope if you have one! Layer up, as it gets chilly after dark.

Come visit our booth downtown Bainbridge Island

and join the "Grand Old Fourth of July" celebration!

Enjoy Bainbridge Island's big 4th of July parade and find our booth downtown! The Street Fair is a one-day only summer market in the T&C parking lot and along Bjune Drive, with as many as 100 vendor booths featuring food, entertainment, retail and information. BPAA astronomers and staff will be on hand to share information about the Battle Point Observatory, demonstrate our solar telescope, and talk about all things astronomical!

To celebrate the KRL Summer Learning space theme, join us at Buck Lake County Park, Hansville to gaze at the stars above!
